Panama* was established in the former port centre at the Oostelijke Handelskade in Amsterdam in late March 2001. For more than hundred years enormous machines had been busily providing electricity to the harbour from this impressive building on the “IJ”.
The trendy location of this ‘entertainment transformed building’ (opposite Java-eiland) is affectionately known as the ‘Manhattan of Amsterdam’, typically due to the industrial heritage of our city. As well as being a contemporary nightclub with great theatre shows, live music & popular club evenings, Panama also offers a trendy dance studio and a cafe restaurant with a grand terrace to the south for those mid-summer-nights…
